Confederate Staff Sword with stunning eye appeal. This Confederate Staff Sword has original leather and wire grip. The blade is full length with no apologies and awesome. The guard has the classic cut out "CSA" design. This example and the Nashville Plow are my hands down favorites. The scabbard has been with this sword. It is a Confederate Wood Scabbard with it's original brass hardware. The brass drag is missing in action. I tried to buy this sword many years ago. The scabbard is the perfect length and fits like a precision wood glove. It's not the normal metal scabbard we normally see on this example. I feel it's the original scabbard do to the untouched nature of this Confederate Sword. Maybe the soldier had it special ordered or hi needed a replacement.
