Native American Tacked Knife Sheath was an early addition to the Warriors of the American West. These knife sheaths were some of the earliest with repurposed boot, saddlebags, or horse harness leather being used. The Go West Movement had their belongings in wooden trunks decorated with brass tacks. The trespassers on the frontier lost more than their hair. The spoils of war were repurposed and made useful by the Warriors. This Native American Tacked Knife Sheath has decorative headed tacks. I have seen these same tacks used on items at the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, OK.
This Native American Tacked Knife Sheath is solid as they come. Expected wear from usage with some period repair and tack loss. I love this example. I have spent a fortune and pricing everything to move. I have seen similar examples priced over 5K. Enjoy the images and Rebel Relics War Party Yell for service .... 615-7727008
