Early Smith & Wesson No. 2 Army Revolver fresh from Texas. This Early Smith & Wesson Revolver fired the .32 caliber projectile. This six shot S&W was very popular with Confederate Cavalry. This Early Smith & Wesson Revolver has a three-digit serial number. The State of Kentucky issued these revolvers to the 7th Regt. Kentucky Vol. Cavalry. Heck, even Geo. Custer had a pair of them. This example has the so often seen initials carved in the butt on Southern Fighters weapons. This would have been a private purchase very popular to do with Southern Men needing a weapon to fight. The action works and I love the trigger profile. Many of these examples have broken triggers. This one is awesome and unbroken but been used. The barrel address is visible. Original grips in good shape.
