Alabama Map on Tree Belt Buckle excavated at The Battle of Sulfur Creek. I just received this Alabama Map on Tree Belt Buckle on consignment from the guy who dug it in 1978. The buckle has a broken belt loop and keeper hook flattened. This Alabama Map on Tree Belt Buckle is one scarce Confederate Belt Buckle. I have added details from the Confederate Buckle Book. This is no doubt an example many Confederate Buckle Collections are missing. I also love where this buckle was excavated. This was a victorious battle for The General Nathan Bedford Forrest.
