1873 Colt Single Action Revolver with awesome early #1414 serial number. This 1873 Colt Single Action Army Revolver saw the whole Wild West. This Colt SAA has jawbone history of being Native American captured and carried. The ejector housing from the patina was removed period of usage. That could be seen as a Native American trait. The patent date and "US" have been removed. This could be an Indian trait or a deserter from the American Cavalry. The patina indicates all removing was done in the period. My quick research shows this 1873 Colt Single Action very well could have been issued to an 8th Cavalry Trooper. They deserted in high numbers around 40% I read. Then the deserter could have lost his hair.
This 1873 Colt Single Action Army very well could have been stolen then captured doing triple duty. You can still seen the "A" inspector mark for Ainsworth. This Martial Colt is a wonderful portrait of the American Wild West. You are gonna pay 4K for just about in any length Colt 1873 with original full length barrel. Might as well pay a little more and get a damn sure exciting example. This gun is mechanically sound with nice barrel address. Call Brian Akins for service.
