Ames Dragoon Saber with visible maker mark, inspector, United States, and date. This Ames Saber is the Model 1833 Dragoon. The sheath is an original sheath but, seems heavier than the model I normally see on this saber. Looks the same but, little longer and heavier. The handle is salty, and no doubt rode into the fight.
