Pre-Civil War Dragoon Saber with original scabbard. This Pre-Civil War Dragoon Saber surfaced near Fort Worth, Texas with jawbone history of Texas Trooper usage. The grip is gone with the wind the wind. The base wood even has some loss and little wobble. This sword may have been carried on after the leather and wire was gone. The blade is full length and displays like a tired old veteran. The scabbard is still strong and ready to saddle up again. No doubt this Dragoon Saber saw the fight. Could have the grip restored but, sure displays like a workhorse. I love it the way it is and would just hang it on the War Room Wall.
