Confederate Sword cut down to fighting knife with period leather sheath. This Confederate Sword is a North Carolina made example. John J. Rebel must have picked up the sword, maybe battle damaged. He needed a fighting knife and a little Southern ingenuity later .... he was combat ready. I picked this killer up at the Baltimore Show from Sam & Wes. It was part of a collection they bought.

The blade stamp looks Post Civil War to me. Maybe a family heirloom added to keep the history intact. The craftmanship looks to be War Time. I really like this Confederate Fighting Knife. Just sums up the plight of the Southern Army. Check out the images and enjoy.
