Tower Enfield P56 Cavalry Carbine with stunning eye appeal. This Tower Enfield P56 Cavalry Carbine was part of the Smithsonian Museum Collection with their inventory number stamped on it. I was told they had a deaccession decades ago. There is also a soldier's name carved on the stock.

I picked this Tower Enfield P56 Cavalry Carbine up at the Gettysburg Civil War Relics Show. I didn't come with any jawbone history. The carved name is period and should be a fun research project for someone with the time. The action is flawless and check out the images. This Carbine shows excellent no brainer "saw the elephant" usage and survived in museum condition. Intact swivel ran rod and original sling bar. The lock plate has the "BARNETT" maker mark with correct barrel proofs. Barnett was the true gunmaker of the Southern Freedom and States Rights Movement.

Check out all the images and call or email Brian Akins. This Tower Enfield P56 Cavalry Carbine no doubt sent invading Yankees home in the horizontal position. The show was awesome and I confirmed many things in my mind. I learned a lot there mostly about people.
