SOLD Alfred Gross Tennessee Percussion Pistol with stunning condition. This Alfred Gross Tennessee Percussion Pistol is one of the rarest firearms I have ever listed. I personally am aware of only five known to exist period. I sold another example several years ago. I tried to buy it back and the collector kind of laughed. This past weekend I was fortunate enough to find another one. This Alfred Gross Tennessee Percussion Pistol was purchased at The Contemporary Long Rifle Show. They have a small antique section. I set up there every year and really enjoy the event. This Alfred Gross Tennessee Percussion Pistol was the jewel of the event. This Alfred Gross Tennessee Percussion Pistol has a beautiful curly maple stock. I love the long barrel tang. That trait is also on most Tennessee Long Rifles. Alfred Gross is one of the few maybe only Tennessee makers who regularly mixed iron and brass hardware. This Alfred Gross Tennessee Percussion Pistol is a beautiful example of his work. There was signed Alfred Gross Tennessee Long Rifle there with the exact ram rod hardware.
