NEW NAME . . . GEN. FORREST MODEL ~ Well . . . that is what you always
read and hear . . . His men were mostly armed with Model 1840 Import Swords
and Model 1851 Colt Navy Revolvers . . . Makes for good story for sure. Here
is a Middle Tennessee Relic for sure . . . Just popped out of the "bushes" and is
the model so often associated with CS Cavalry. This one has the "anti rattle"
dents in the scabbard too . . . Just another piece of the puzzle . . . Nice looking
old "wrist breaker" with plenty of Southern carried traits . . . This one came with
seller history of spending time in a U.C.V. Veterans Home/Hall . . . Does have
old black paint on the scabbard which was common for display in the past.
REBEL RELIC PRICED . . . . . . . . .
$550.00
EAST NASHVILLE REBEL ~ Here is one that has been hiding . . . Fresh from
the East Nashville area . . . Sheble & Fisher marked and completely untouched
. . . If your into pure "as was" artifacts . . . Here you go . . . Great eye appeal
with the look of a true Civil War Veteran. This one actually looks better in
person and the wear really enhances the sword. Mark my words . . . 100s of
swords are having the grips reworked and wire added every year . . . In years to
come these untouched swords may be the new collectible. Get ahead of the
curve and REBEL YELL.
$365.00
FROM THE SHILOH RELIC AREA ~ This one has seller history of popping out
of the Shiloh area . . . This one too has the look of spending sometime in a
U.C.V. Hall . . . Great looking sword and the "General Forrest" model . . . LOL .
. . . No modern monkey business and displays great with the "been there done
that" eye appeal . . . I can see this one above the mantle.
$600.00
BA BA BAD . . . BAD TO THE BONE ~ Extremely nice Confederate Cavalry
Sword with original Confederate brass mounted scabbard. Collectors call this
example "Type #1 Kenansville" early collectors believed this was a product of
The Confederate States Armory in Kenansville, N.C. . . . This type having the
flatter brass cavalry branches and another similar sword having more rounded
branches called the type #2 . . . The sword has strong eye appeal and
wonderful patina with untouched/unmolested condition. The wood handle has
scattered wrap with loss and a blending of wood and wrap. Just gorgeous to
see the original wear on this one. So many swords are being professionally
restored it is nice to see one that is just so pure. The scabbard is awesome with
original brown finish scattered all over the metal. Wonderful brass mounts with
casting flaws and file marks adding the finishing "CS" good looks. You will be
proud to own this example and priced well below recent selling prices . . . You
will not find a nicer one on the market for this REBEL RELIC PRICE.

WOUNDED YANKEE ~ Thomas S. Hayes . . . Wounded near Petersburg.
Just got this wonderful Presentation Sword in today. I have a stack of
paperwork and appears to be a hard fought Yankee. The scabbard has
beautiful mounts and very nice engraving on the hilt. The blade has etching
and the only "boo boo" is the scabbard drag is "M.I.A." . . . Could be laying
around Petersburg or in some digger's display case. Very friendly priced . . . . .
