Brian Akins Civil War Relics

Brian Akins Civil War Relics Antique Bowie Knife.  This Brian Akins Civil War Relics Confederate D-Guard is absolutely awesome.  This is a super scarce Identified Confederate Fighting Knife.  There is family signed documentation that will accompany this Confederate Antique Bowie.

Every Civil War Relics Collection needs a Brian Akins Civil War Relics Bowie.  This example is just like the one published in the Confederate Bowie Knife Book.  This example was sold to the guy I bought it from by Josh Phillips.  Josh Phillips wrote the Antique Bowie Knife Book.  The solider was in the 15th. Alabama Infantry.  All original paperwork will go to the buyer.  The soldier’s name is Private John Helms.

There is also some Civil War period documentation that goes with this Antique Bowie Knife.  This Brian Akins Civil War Relics Confederate D-Guard is solid.  It could field dress an attacking Yankee today.  The peen is undisturbed with tight feel when held.  The guard is the classic “D” shape civil war relics collectors love.  The overall length is roughly 18″ inches.  The beautiful blade measures 14″ inches.  The blade is still period sharp with all the Southern Blacksmith forging flaws we love.  This Brian Akins Civil War Relics Bowie has languets.  Fancy word for flared guards on the side of the hilt.  As many of you know, I have studied martial arts my whole life.  I see know real combative advantage for these flanges.  They are visually appealing when this Antique Bowie Knife is in it’s sheath.  The sheath is awesome.  Civil War Relics Bowie Knives rarely have their original sheath.  This Brian Akins Civil War Relics Bowie has it’s original sheath with only the obvious damage.  The stitching is solid and leather strong.  I love the big iron ferrule on this Confederate D-Guard.  If your Civil War Relics Collection is missing a Stud Confederate Bowie, Rebel Relics Yell.

This Brian Akins Civil War Relics Confederate D-Guard is that one and done Rebel Relics Example.  There are only three known examples of this style Bowie.  One is in the book that I have posted and this example.  Both of these are identified.  Nashville Rebel Approved with a BIG Rebel Relics Yell.
