Confederate Georgia Coat Button

Confederate Georgia Coat Button with interesting story.  This Confederate Georgia Coat Button was brought by my table at the Franklin Show years ago.  The lady had a box of Civil War Relics.  In the box was a Confederate D Guard and other treasures.  There was a pile of these Georgia State Seal Buttons in the box.  She told me the story of the Confederate Uniform being thrown away and the buttons saved.  She probably told me at one point in history the uniform was thrown away but don’t remember.  Long story short, I flipped all the treasure to someone at the Franklin Civil War Show.  She told them the whole story and I went on down the trail.  I kept the box and some related horse tack odds and ends.  After the show I noticed this button hiding in the packing.  No doubt this Confederate Georgia Coat Button was on a uniform.  The condition an patina matches the ladies story.  Many surviving Georgia Coat Buttons are bright shiny and look to have seen little or zero service.  This Confederate Georgia Coat Button  has honest wear and no repairs.  I do not remember much of the story or who flipped the grouping to.

Now you know the rest of the story.  I reckon you also have figured out I can truly Rebel Relics price this Confederate Georgia Coat Button ….. Laugh out Loud.  You Rebs and Yanks know I love Civil War Relics.  If I had been born rich instead of good looking ….
