Richmond Virginia Double Barrel Shotgun

Richmond Virginia Double Barrel Shotgun with “Richmond Virginia” on the barrels.  This Richmond Virginia Double Barrel Shotgun has a very large bore diameter.  It’s bigger than my gauge.  My guess is 8 gauge minimum.  The top of the barrels is nicely marked “Richmond, Va.” and “London Fine Twist”.  The lock plate is also marked with the retailer “T.W. Tignor”.  This Richmond Virginia Double Barrel Shotgun shows some honest usage.  It surfaced at the Richmond, Virginia show last month.  As everybody knows, The South was short firearms.  I can’t imagine this double barrel cannon was not fired in anger.  The beginning of the Civil War this very well could have been riding shotgun.  The action works great.  I see no modern restoration or repairs.  The ram rod has nice bullet extractor on the end.  The stock has a cute little patch box.  The patch box has some decorative designs.  This Richmond Virginia Double Barrel Shotgun may have not been carried the whole Civil War.  Just hard to imagine it did not get pointed at a invading Yankee at some point.  I have looked at the business end and it would scare a Yankee.  Maybe even all the way back to New Jersey in a pine box.  If you have a fire place and live in Virginia.  I can’t imagine a better artifact to dress up the mantle.  I have tagged this Richmond Virginia Double Barrel Shotgun with the REBEL RELIC PRICING.
