Civil War United States Waist Belt Plate

SOLD

Civil War United States Waist Belt Plate with “US” on the face.  The face has a beautiful patina with rich attic aging.  The back of the Civil War United States Waist Belt Plate has all three hooks.  The lead shows some honest wear from usage.  There is no doubt in my mind that this Civil War Relic say the elephant.  The original leather belt has military inspector mark.  The overall condition of the leather is very good.  This Civil War belt could be worn today in battle.  If your thinking of putting a Civil War United States Waist Belt Plate on a mannequin this one will work.  The original brass keeper is still reporting for duty.  Middle Tennessee Relics are flowing in the shop.  Yesterday bought an excavated collection dug around Dalton, Georgia.  I will listing those artifacts here shortly.  The Sam Davis Home is back open after the Blue Angles crash.  Visitors are stopping in on their way to the Sam Davis Home.  This example is out of an old collection.  If you have the book PLATES AND BUCKLES OF THE AMERICAN MILITARY 1795-1974″ by SYDNEY C. KERKIS.  A simiar pattern is on page 38.  If your Civil War Collection could use a honest solid Civil War United States Waist Belt Plate.  Please give me a Rebel Yell.  Check back Rebel Relics has many more Civil War Relics for sale coming this week.
